New Veteran Orientation

Shelby County Veterans Court Orientation

All Veterans coming into the Shelby County Veterans Court program must attend New Veteran Orientation within the first 14 days. Orientation is conducted on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

The Shelby County Veterans Court is a judicially supervised treatment program for persons whose substance abuse, dependency and or serious mental health issues appear to have contributed significantly to their current arrest and or conviction of a crime.  This program requires a total commitment to remaining clean and sober as well as dealing with any mental health issues and leading a law-abiding life.

Name Of Shelby County Veterans Participant

Is currently a Shelby County Veterans Court participant and is a recovering addict / alcoholic. As part of a structured, judicially supervised treatment program, the Veterans Court participants are frequently subjected to random drug testing. Therefore, all medications and treatment procedures should be prescribed with this information in mind.

The following medications are approved for Drug or DUI Court participants to take without prior permission.  These medications must be taken at the appropriate dosage listed on the drug’s label or a positive urine test could result.  Do Not Take More Than The Dosage Indicated On The Label!​
