What Happens Next?

Supervision

  • You will be meeting with your supervision officer frequently, as directed.
  • Don’t forget your copy of rules and conditions.

Court Appearances

  • Return to Court on your assigned day and time to Division 7 of the General Sessions Court of Shelby County located in the basement of 201 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN.  
  • Reporting day and time is Wednesday at 2:00 pm. 
  • The number of times per week you must appear in court varies with each Phase and Group assignment of the program:
  • Call your Case Manager within 48 hours of entry for initial Intake appointment.
  • Call your Treatment Provider today!
  • Support Group Meetings (Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, etc.)
  • BRING YOUR SIGNATURE SHEET TO EVERY COURT APPEARANCE IF REQUIRED TO ATTEND!

 

Over-the-Counter and Prescription Medications

You are not allowed to take any medication (not even over-the-counter medication) without permission from the Veterans Court Coordinator.  

  • The only exception to this rule is that you are allowed to take over-the-counter medications listed on the Approved Over-the-Counter (OTC) Medications list. 
  • If you seek medical attention at any time, whether dental, emergency, or routine (such as a sore throat), you must take a medical form (Medical/Dental Medication Form”) with you for a signature by the physician. 
  • Copies of this medical form must be turned in to your probation officer and treatment counselor at your next appointment.  You must also provide a copy of this medical form to your coordinator at your next court appearance.

Driving

  • You are NOT allowed to drive unless you have a valid driver’s license. 
  • If you have a valid license, you may be required to have an ignition interlock device on any automobile you drive, including work vehicles.

Jobs

  • You may be required to have a job while in Veterans Court.
  • If you fail to find employment, you may be assigned 16 hours of Community Service per week until you find employment.
